We provide a 24/7 emergency response service to safeguard the people of Gamagara against disasters such as fire, floods and accidents. Our trained team operates from the Kathu and Olifantshoek Fire Stations, supported by a fully equipped fleet and a dedicated Emergency Control Room.
Gamagara Local Municipality work under national and municipal legislation, conduct annual disaster risk assessments, and maintain critical structures such as the Disaster Management Advisory Forum (DMAF). Our key functions include disaster planning, emergency preparedness, community awareness, and coordination with district and provincial disaster centres.
